The Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program provides specific requirements that businesses must meet to be designated green. Businesses must also agree to exemplify principles like the conservation of energy, water, and other resources, and the development and implementation of practices that prevent pollution and waste.

None of the products at Chaminade Resort & Spa are tested on animals, and many featured product lines are renowned for avoiding chemicals and artificial preservatives. Organic and renewable ingredients are used whenever possible, and organic waste is composted and recycled. These green practices not only reduce the spa’s environmental footprint, but also raise environmental awareness among spa clientele.
